The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तथात्मनि द्विताभानाच्चित्ते द्वैतविभासनम् ।
सर्गादौ न च भास्योस्ति न च वा नास्ति भासकः ॥ १५ ॥

tathātmani dvitābhānāccitte dvaitavibhāsanam |
sargādau na ca bhāsyosti na ca vā nāsti bhāsakaḥ || 15 ||

In this manner the blunder of a duality in the soul, produces a dualism in the mind; but ere the existence of creation, there existed no dualism of the creator and the created, or of the manifester and the manifested.
