The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्मात्राकाशरत्नस्य सृष्टयोऽर्कादिसंयुताः ।
या भासस्ताः कथं तस्माद्व्यतिरिक्ताः स्युरुच्यताम् ॥ ३४ ॥

cinmātrākāśaratnasya sṛṣṭayo'rkādisaṃyutāḥ |
yā bhāsastāḥ kathaṃ tasmādvyatiriktāḥ syurucyatām || 34 ||

The shining sun, moon, and stars being but offshoots, of the flaming gem of the vacuous Intellect of the Deity; say how can they be otherwise than flashes of the same gem, from which they are emitted.
