The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विद्यते जगदात्मेदं दृश्यं चिन्मात्रकोटरे ।
अनुत्कीर्णा यथा वृक्षे वनस्था शालभञ्जिका ॥ ४० ॥

vidyate jagadātmedaṃ dṛśyaṃ cinmātrakoṭare |
anutkīrṇā yathā vṛkṣe vanasthā śālabhañjikā || 40 ||

There is an only universal soul, that is invisible amidst the vacuum of his Intellect; as the uncarved doll remains unseen, in the wood of every forest tree.
