The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.103.83

चिन्मात्रमेव कचति स्वप्ने पुरतया यथा ।
तथैव जाग्रदाख्येऽस्मिन्स स्वप्ने कचति स्वयम् ॥ ८३ ॥

cinmātrameva kacati svapne puratayā yathā |
tathaiva jāgradākhye'sminsa svapne kacati svayam || 83 ||

The Divine Intellect alone shines forth in its glory, as the mind exhibits its images of cities &c. in dream; in the like manner our minds represent to us the image of world, as day dreams in our waking state.
