The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हसन्स शान्तया वृत्त्या प्राक्तनीर्जागतीर्गतीः ।
स्मयमान इवास्तेऽन्तर्जनताश्च घनभ्रमाः ॥ ५१ ॥

hasansa śāntayā vṛttyā prāktanīrjāgatīrgatīḥ |
smayamāna ivāste'ntarjanatāśca ghanabhramāḥ || 51 ||

He laughs with the calmness of his soul, at the same unvaried course of the world and its people; and smiles to think on the persistence of men, in their habitual error and folly.
