The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न जायते न म्रियते संविदाकाशमक्षयम् ।
भवेत्कथं कथय किं किलाकाशस्य संक्षयः ॥ १६ ॥

na jāyate na mriyate saṃvidākāśamakṣayam |
bhavetkathaṃ kathaya kiṃ kilākāśasya saṃkṣayaḥ || 16 ||

The vacuous Intellect is neither generated nor destroyed at any time, but is increate and imperishable at all times; say how and when could the eternal void come to or disappear from existence.
