The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.47.47

पादपीठपरामर्शपिष्टकीटवदीहते ।
दीनप्रकृतिरर्थार्थी दुःखाद्दुःखान्तरं व्रजेत् ॥ ४७ ॥

pādapīṭhaparāmarśapiṣṭakīṭavadīhate |
dīnaprakṛtirarthārthī duḥkhādduḥkhāntaraṃ vrajet || 47 ||

As the poor emmet is likely to be crushed under the foot of every passer, in its ceaseless search and hoarding of food; so the greedy and needy man is liable to be spurned, for his incessant wanderings after paltry gains and lucre.
