The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

हसत्युच्चैः पदारूढमात्मानभवलोकयन् ।
एतावन्तमहं कालं कृपणः कोऽभवं त्विति ॥ ७ ॥

hasatyuccaiḥ padārūḍhamātmānabhavalokayan |
etāvantamahaṃ kālaṃ kṛpaṇaḥ ko'bhavaṃ tviti || 7 ||

The man who has risen to a high station, looks at himself and smiles to think, how miserly he has passed so long a period of his past life.
