The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जात्यन्धरूपानुभवसमं भुवनवेदनम् ।
भ्रान्तप्रायमसद्रूपं ज्ञस्य भाति न भाति च ॥ ३३ ॥

jātyandharūpānubhavasamaṃ bhuvanavedanam |
bhrāntaprāyamasadrūpaṃ jñasya bhāti na bhāti ca || 33 ||

The wise man is as blind as one who is born blind, in his knowledge of the outer world, and has merely a faint notion of it in his mind;where it appears or not at times, like a dream in his slight and sound sleep.
