The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.128.12

श्रुतिवाक्यमनुस्मृत्य न स्वतः प्रकटीकृताः ।
एवं न्यस्यात्मनो देहं विराडस्मीति चिन्तयेत् ॥ १२ ॥

śrutivākyamanusmṛtya na svataḥ prakaṭīkṛtāḥ |
evaṃ nyasyātmano dehaṃ virāḍasmīti cintayet || 12 ||

Having thus resigned his whole body to the gods, he should think himself as the all comprehending viraja; and this he must do in pursuance to the dictates of the veda, and not of his own will or fabrication.
