The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कदाचिदसिनिस्त्रिंशच्छिन्नः सोऽस्तमुपाययौ ।
विवेकानिलनिर्लूनरूपो जीव इवात्मनि ॥ ३० ॥

kadācidasinistriṃśacchinnaḥ so'stamupāyayau |
vivekānilanirlūnarūpo jīva ivātmani || 30 ||

He fell afterwards under the sword of the enemy, and pierced all over his body by their deadly darts; as the haughty egoism of the living body, drops down in the soul under the wound of right reason.
