The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.59.24

तत्त्वेन भावनायत्ता संसृतिः सानुभूयते ।
अभावनामात्रलयात्सा च निःसाररूपिणी ॥ २४ ॥

tattvena bhāvanāyattā saṃsṛtiḥ sānubhūyate |
abhāvanāmātralayātsā ca niḥsārarūpiṇī || 24 ||

The world appears as an entity, by our thinking it as such; but it vanishes upon our ceasing to think as such, like the disappearance of figures in a picture, when it is burnt down to ashes.
