The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दृक्चयो द्योतयामास मुखाकाशतलोदितः ।
बोधं समुद्गकादर्क अंशुराशिरिवोद्गतः ॥ २ ॥

dṛkcayo dyotayāmāsa mukhākāśataloditaḥ |
bodhaṃ samudgakādarka aṃśurāśirivodgataḥ || 2 ||

His eyes flashed with light under his heavenly forehead, and were as two caskets of his understanding, which scattered its rays about us.
