पयस्तरङ्गयोर्द्वित्वभावनादेव भिन्नता ।
विद्याविद्यादृशोर्भेदभावनादेव भिन्नता ॥ १७ ॥

payastaraṅgayordvitvabhāvanādeva bhinnatā |
vidyāvidyādṛśorbhedabhāvanādeva bhinnatā || 17 ||

And as there is no such thing as a wave; but a word coined to denote the heaving of water; so there is nothing as ignorance but a word fabricated to express the want of knowledge.
