The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.6.37

अवस्तुनि सनेत्रस्य लुठतश्च पदे पदे ।
विषमुत्पद्यते चन्द्रादामोदः कुसुमादिव ॥ ३७ ॥

avastuni sanetrasya luṭhataśca pade pade |
viṣamutpadyate candrādāmodaḥ kusumādiva || 37 ||

The seeing man or looker on sights, that regales his eyes with the sight of unrealities; is at last deluded by them, as a man is moonstruck by fixing his eyes on the moon, and becomes giddy with the profuse fragrance of flowers.
