The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 6.2.17

वसिष्ठस्यानने रामः शनैर्दृष्टिं न्यवेशयत् ।
भ्रमन्तीमम्बरोपान्ते फुल्लपद्म इवालिनीम् ॥ १७ ॥

vasiṣṭhasyānane rāmaḥ śanairdṛṣṭiṃ nyaveśayat |
bhramantīmambaropānte phullapadma ivālinīm || 17 ||

So did Rama gloat upon the countenance of Vasishtha, and his eye-balls rolled upon it, like the black bees fluttering about a full blown lotus.
