The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्विविधा मुक्तता लोके विद्यते देहधारिणाम् ।
सदेहैका विदेहान्या विभागोऽयं तयोः श्रृणु ॥ ४९ ॥

dvividhā muktatā loke vidyate dehadhāriṇām |
sadehaikā videhānyā vibhāgo'yaṃ tayoḥ śrṛṇu || 49 ||

There are two kinds of liberation for living beings, viz.: one in their present life and body, and the other after separation of life from the body, both of which admit of some varieties as you will bear afterwards.
