The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न च किंचन वेत्त्यन्तर्वेद्यस्यासंभवादिह ।
न चास्वादयति स्वादु स्वाद्यस्यासंभवादयम् ॥ १६ ॥

na ca kiṃcana vettyantarvedyasyāsaṃbhavādiha |
na cāsvādayati svādu svādyasyāsaṃbhavādayam || 16 ||

The soul perceives nothing in itself, for the total want of the perceptibles in it; nor does it taste anything in itself, for want of anything gustable therein.
