तं तत्रावरयामासुर्मण्डनार्थं वराङ्गनाः ।
क्षीरोदगतविभ्रान्ता लहर्य इव मन्दरम् ॥ ३५ ॥

taṃ tatrāvarayāmāsurmaṇḍanārthaṃ varāṅganāḥ |
kṣīrodagatavibhrāntā laharya iva mandaram || 35 ||

Then the matrons joined to anoint him as their king, and moved about him like the waves of the sea; surrounding the Mandara mountain after its labour of churning.
