The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

किं किल स्फारमनसां पशूनां च विशेषणम् ।
कृष्यन्ते पशवो रज्ज्वा मनसा मूढचेतसः ॥ ३९ ॥

kiṃ kila sphāramanasāṃ paśūnāṃ ca viśeṣaṇam |
kṛṣyante paśavo rajjvā manasā mūḍhacetasaḥ || 39 ||

The dull-headed ignorant, who are no better than beasts, are dragged by their wilful minds, like the cattle by their halters.
