The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मा संकल्पय संकल्पं भावं भावय मा स्थितौ ।
एतावतैव भावेन भव्यो भवति भूतये ॥ १२ ॥

mā saṃkalpaya saṃkalpaṃ bhāvaṃ bhāvaya mā sthitau |
etāvataiva bhāvena bhavyo bhavati bhūtaye || 12 ||

Do not entertain your desires, nor think of anything which is nothing; it is by your living in this manner, that you may be wise and happy.
