The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कर्मवातापनुन्नेषु सरसेष्वरसेष्वपि ।
पतत्सु वासरौघेषु शीर्णपर्णगणेष्विव ॥ २ ॥

patatsu vāsaraugheṣu śīrṇaparṇagaṇeṣviva || 2 ||

My days glided away in alternate joy and grief, brought on by my fate and acts; just as a river flows on with the green and dried leaves, which the winds scatter over it.
