The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आशरीरपरित्यागमिदानीं न मया नृप ।
हिंसनीयाः परप्राणास्तेनेदं मद्वचः शृणु ॥ २० ॥

āśarīraparityāgamidānīṃ na mayā nṛpa |
hiṃsanīyāḥ paraprāṇāstenedaṃ madvacaḥ śṛṇu || 20 ||

I tell you now, O prince! that until the end of this life and body of mine, I shall no more take away the life of any living being, and you may rely assured upon my word.
