The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.30.23

स्तब्धा इव स्थिताः केचित्केशोण्ड्रकमिवाम्बरे ।
वायोः स्पन्दा इवाभान्ति तथा प्रोदितसंविदः ॥ २३ ॥

stabdhā iva sthitāḥ kecitkeśoṇḍrakamivāmbare |
vāyoḥ spandā ivābhānti tathā proditasaṃvidaḥ || 23 ||

Others are as immovable in the air, as the animalcula in the water, which are moved to and fro by the wind, without any sign of motion or sensation in them.
