The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.30.8

उत्पद्योत्पद्यते तत्र स्वयं संवित्स्वभावतः ।
स्वसंकल्पैः शमं याति बालसंकल्पजालवत् ॥ ८ ॥

utpadyotpadyate tatra svayaṃ saṃvitsvabhāvataḥ |
svasaṃkalpaiḥ śamaṃ yāti bālasaṃkalpajālavat || 8 ||

There is but one indefinite space in nature, as there is but one consciousness in all beings; yet everything moves in its own way, as wayward boys take their own course.
