The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.14.19

न जीवोऽस्ति न जीवानां राशयः सन्ति राघव ।
न चैकः पर्वतप्रख्यो जीवपिण्डोऽस्ति कश्चन ॥ १९ ॥

na jīvo'sti na jīvānāṃ rāśayaḥ santi rāghava |
na caikaḥ parvataprakhyo jīvapiṇḍo'sti kaścana || 19 ||

There are no detached living souls, O Rama, nor are they to be found in multitudes any where, nor was there a mountainous heap of souls known to have existed at any time.
