The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.12.15

तस्मादुदेष्यत्यखिला जगच्छ्रीः परमात्मनः ।
शब्दौघनिर्मितार्थौघपरिणामविसारिणः ॥ १५ ॥

tasmādudeṣyatyakhilā jagacchrīḥ paramātmanaḥ |
śabdaughanirmitārthaughapariṇāmavisāriṇaḥ || 15 ||

It is from this Supreme spirit, that all these worlds derived their beauty afterwards; and the multitude of words (which sprang from the sounds), and were full of meaning, became widely spread at last.
