The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.3.6

भविष्यन्ति पराम्भोधौ जन्तसर्गतरङ्गकाः ।
तांश्च वै परिसंख्यातुं सा कथैव न विद्यते ॥ ६ ॥

bhaviṣyanti parāmbhodhau jantasargataraṅgakāḥ |
tāṃśca vai parisaṃkhyātuṃ sā kathaiva na vidyate || 6 ||

Nor can any one say by calculation, what numbers of creation will rise from the (unlimited) ocean of divine existence, like its interminable waves.
