The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.121; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. In this work Goswami describes the nature and different forms of pure love (rasa) as well as various other topics on Vaishnavism and devotion.

आलम्बन-शून्यता —
गते वृन्दारण्यात् प्रिय-सुहृदि गोष्ठेश्वर-सुते
लघु-भृतं सद्यः पतद्-अतितराम् उत्पतद् अपि ।
न हि भ्रामं भ्रामं भजति चटुलं तुलम् इव मे
निरालम्बं चेतः क्वचिद् अपि विलम्बं लवम् अपि ॥३.३.१२१॥

ālambana-śūnyatā —
gate vṛndāraṇyāt priya-suhṛdi goṣṭheśvara-sute
laghu-bhṛtaṃ sadyaḥ patad-atitarām utpatad api |
na hi bhrāmaṃ bhrāmaṃ bhajati caṭulaṃ tulam iva me
nirālambaṃ cetaḥ kvacid api vilambaṃ lavam api
||3.3.121||

English translation

Vacant mind:
“Since the son of the King of Vraja, my dear friend Kṛṣṇa, left Vṛndāvan, my fickle mind, without support, has become so light that it rises and falls like a piece of cotton, spins around constantly and cannot find a point of concentration.”
