The English translation of the Sri Bhakti-rasamrta-sindhu verse 3.3.121; a medieval era Sanskrit book, written by Rupa Goswami (fl. 15th century) which represents a devotional (bhakti) masterpiece. आलम्बन-शून्यता —
गते वृन्दारण्यात् प्रिय-सुहृदि गोष्ठेश्वर-सुते
लघु-भृतं सद्यः पतद्-अतितराम् उत्पतद् अपि ।
न हि भ्रामं भ्रामं भजति चटुलं तुलम् इव मे
निरालम्बं चेतः क्वचिद् अपि विलम्बं लवम् अपि ॥३.३.१२१॥ālambana-śūnyatā —
gate vṛndāraṇyāt priya-suhṛdi goṣṭheśvara-sute
laghu-bhṛtaṃ sadyaḥ patad-atitarām utpatad api |
na hi bhrāmaṃ bhrāmaṃ bhajati caṭulaṃ tulam iva me
nirālambaṃ cetaḥ kvacid api vilambaṃ lavam api ||3.3.121||
English translation

“Since the son of the King of Vraja, my dear friend Kṛṣṇa, left Vṛndāvan, my fickle mind, without support, has become so light that it rises and falls like a piece of cotton, spins around constantly and cannot find a point of concentration.”
