Rig Veda 8.6.30

आदित्प्र॒त्नस्य॒ रेत॑सो॒ ज्योति॑ष्पश्यन्ति वास॒रम् । प॒रो यदि॒ध्यते॑ दि॒वा ॥
आदित्प्रत्नस्य रेतसो ज्योतिष्पश्यन्ति वासरम् । परो यदिध्यते दिवा ॥
ād it pratnasya retaso jyotiṣ paśyanti vāsaram | paro yad idhyate divā ||

English translation:

“Then (men) behold the daily light of the ancient shedder of water, when he shines above the heaveṇ”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Daily light: Indra is identified with the sun. vāsaram = an epithet of jyotis. = nivāsakam, clothing, enveloping ornivāsahetubhūtam, the cause of abiding; or, 'during the day': atyantasanyoge dvitīyā, adverbial accusative ativeof time; kṛtsnamahar udayaprabhṛty āstamanam yāvat, the light that lasts throughout the day, form sunrise tosunset;

Retasaḥ = gantuḥ, the goer; or, udakavataḥ, water-having
