Rig Veda 3.9.9

त्रीणि॑ श॒ता त्री स॒हस्रा॑ण्य॒ग्निं त्रिं॒शच्च॑ दे॒वा नव॑ चासपर्यन् । औक्ष॑न्घृ॒तैरस्तृ॑णन्ब॒र्हिर॑स्मा॒ आदिद्धोता॑रं॒ न्य॑सादयन्त ॥
त्रीणि शता त्री सहस्राण्यग्निं त्रिंशच्च देवा नव चासपर्यन् । औक्षन्घृतैरस्तृणन्बर्हिरस्मा आदिद्धोतारं न्यसादयन्त ॥
trīṇi śatā trī sahasrāṇy agniṃ triṃśac ca devā nava cāsaparyan | aukṣan ghṛtair astṛṇan barhir asmā ād id dhotāraṃ ny asādayanta ||

English translation:

“Three thousand three hundred and thirty-nine divinities have worshipped Agni; they have sprinkled him with melted butter; they have spread for him the sacred grass; and have seated him upon it as their ministrant priest.”

Commentary by Sāyaṇa: Ṛgveda-bhāṣya

Yajus. 33.7; three thousand: Bṛhadāraṇyaka (3.9), gives the number as 3333 according to the gloss of Ānandagiri, adding eight Vasus, eleven Rudras, and twelve Ādityas, with Indra and Prajāpati
