Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. ययातिरुवाच ।
ऋतुं वै याचमानाया भगवन्नान्यचेतसा ।
दुहितुर्दानवेन्द्रस्य धर्म्यमेतत्कृतं मया ॥ ३१ ॥

ṛtuṃ vai yācamānāyā bhagavannānyacetasā |
duhiturdānavendrasya dharmyametatkṛtaṃ mayā || 31 ||
