Consisting of 18 books, the Mahabharata details the history and legends concerning ancient India (Bharata), including a major battle campaign involving the Kauravas and the Pandavas, also known as the Kurukshetra War. महीधराभैः पतितैर्महागजैः सकृत्प्रविद्धैः शरविद्धमर्मभिः ।
तैर्विह्वलद्भिश्च गतासुभिश्च प्रध्वस्तयन्त्रायुधवर्मयोधैः ॥ १५ ॥
