क्षण-मात्रेण तद्-युद्धे
शत-क्रोश-विलम्बिता
आपगाभून् महा-दुर्गा
रुधिर-स्रव-सम्भवाः

kṣaṇa-mātreṇa tad-yuddhe
śata-krośa-vilambitā
āpagābhūn mahā-durgā
rudhira-srava-sambhavāḥ

kṣaṇa-mātreṇa—for a moment; tad-yuddhe—in that battle; śata-krośa-vilambitāfor two hundred miles; āpagāa river; abhūt—was; mahā-durgāimpassable; rudhira-srava-sambhavāḥ—created from flowing blood.

English translation of verse 6.1.26:

In that battle there was for two-hundred miles a flowing river of blood, . . .
