The Garga-samhita Verse 2.24.47, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 2 of Chapter 24 (The Story of Asuri Muni in the Rasa-dance Pastime) of Canto 2 (vrindavana-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-महादेव उवाच
धन्यस् त्वम् आसुरे ब्रह्मन्
कृष्ण-भक्तो ऽस्य् अहैक्तुकः
दिद्र्क्षुणा त्वयायासं
कृतं वेद्मि महा-मुने

śrī-mahādeva uvāca
dhanyas tvam āsure brahman
kṛṣṇa-bhakto 'sy ahaiktukaḥ
didrkṣuṇā tvayāyāsaṃ
kṛtaṃ vedmi mahā-mune

śrī-mahādeva uvācaŚrī Śiva said; dhanyaḥfortunate; tvam—you; āsure—O Asuri; brahmanO brāhmaṇa; kṛṣṇa-bhaktaḥ—a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa; asi—you are; ahaiktukaḥ—pure and unmotivated; didrkṣuṇā—withj a desire to see; tvayā—by you; ayāsam—effort; kṛtam—done; vedmi—I know; mahā-mune—O great sage.

English translation of verse 2.24.47:

Śrī Śiva said: O brāhmaṇa Asuri, you are fortunate. You are a pure devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa. O great sage, I know the trouble you have taken to find Lord Kṛṣṇa.
