The Garga-samhita Verses 2.20.38-39, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. नृत्यैर् नाना-विधै रम्यैर्
हाव-भाव-समन्वितैः
तोषयन्त्यो हरिं राधां
कटाक्षैर् व्रज-गोपिकाः
गायन् मधुवनं प्रागात्
सुन्दरी-गण-सम्वृतः
रासेश्वर्या रास-लीलां
चक्रे रासेश्वरः स्वयम्
nṛtyair nānā-vidhai ramyair
hāva-bhāva-samanvitaiḥ
toṣayantyo hariṃ rādhāṃ
kaṭākṣair vraja-gopikāḥ
gāyan madhuvanaṃ prāgāt
sundarī-gaṇa-samvṛtaḥ
rāseśvaryā rāsa-līlāṃ
cakre rāseśvaraḥ svayam
nṛtyaiḥ—with dancing; nānā-vidhai—of various kinds; ramyaiḥ—beautiful; hāva-bhāva-samanvitaiḥ—with amorous gestures; toṣayantyaḥ—pleasing; harim—Kṛṣṇa; rādhām—Rādhā; kaṭākṣaiḥ—with sidelong glances; vraja-gopikāḥ—the vraja-gopīs; gāyan—singing; madhuvanam—to madfhuvana; prāgāt—went; sundarī-gaṇa-samvṛtaḥ—accompanied by the beautiful girls; rāseśvaryā—with the queen of the rasa dance; rāsa-līlām—the rasa dance pastime; cakre—did; rāseśvaraḥ—the king of the rasa dance; svayam—personally.
English translation of verses 2.20.38-39:
With many different dances, with amorous gestures, and with sidelong glances the gopīs pleased Kṛṣṇa. Then, accompanied by the gopīs as He sang Śrī Rādhā's glories, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the king of the rāsa dance, went to Madhuvana forest, where He enjoyed a rāsa dance with Śrī Rādhā, the queen of the rāsa dance.
