वैशाख-मासि पञ्चम्यां
जाते चन्द्रोदये शुभे
यमुनोपवने रेमे
रासेश्वर्या मनोहरः
vaiśākha-māsi pañcamyāṃ
jāte candrodaye śubhe
yamunopavane reme
rāseśvaryā manoharaḥ
vaiśākha-māsi—in the month of Madhava; pa 24camyām—on the fifth day; jāte—manifested; candrodaye—the moonrise; śubhe—beautiful; yamuna—by the Yamunā; upavane—in a gardenb; reme—enjoyed; rāseśvaryā—with thequeen of the rasa dance; manoharaḥ—handsome Kṛṣṇa.
English translation of verse 2.19.3:
On the fifth day of the month of Mādhava, as the moon beautifully rose, in a garden by the Yamunā's shore handsome Kṛṣṇa enjoyed with Śrī Rādhā, the queen of the rāsa dance.
