The Garga-samhita Verse 2.19.2, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. श्री-नारद उवाच
माधवो माधवे मासि
माधवीभिः समाकुले
वृन्दावने समारेभे
रासं रासेश्वरः स्वयम्

śrī-nārada uvāca
mādhavo mādhave māsi
mādhavībhiḥ samākule
vṛndāvane samārebhe
rāsaṃ rāseśvaraḥ svayam

śrī-nārada uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; mādhavaḥKṛṣṇa; mādhave—in teh springtime; māsimonth; mādhavībhiḥ—with madhavi vines; samākule—filled; vṛndāvane—in Vṛndāvana; samārebhe—began; rāsam—the rasa dance; rāseśvaraḥ—the king of the rasa dance; svayam—Himself.

English translation of verse 2.19.2:

Śrī Nārada said: In the month of Mādhava (April-May), when Vṛndāvana forest was filled with blossoming mādhavī vines, Lord Kṛṣṇa, the king of the rāsa dance, began the rāsa-dance pastime.
