श्री-नारद उवाच
इत्थं चन्द्रानना-वाक्यं
श्रुत्वा रासेश्वरी नृप
तुलसी-सेवनं साक्षाद्
आरेभे हरि-तोषणम्
śrī-nārada uvāca
itthaṃ candrānanā-vākyaṃ
śrutvā rāseśvarī nṛpa
tulasī-sevanaṃ sākṣād
ārebhe hari-toṣaṇam
śrī-nāradaḥ uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; ittham—thus; candrānanā-vākyam—the words of Candrānanā; śrutvā—hearing; rāseśvarī—the queen of the rāsa dnace; nṛpa—O king; tulasī-sevanam—the service of Tulasī; sākṣāt—directly; ārebhe—began; hari-toṣaṇam—to please Lord Hari.
English translation of verse 2.16.20:
Śrī Nārada said: O king, after hearing Candrānanā's words, Śrī Rādhā, the queen of the rāsa dance, in order to please Lord Kṛṣṇa, began to serve Śrī Tulasī.
