The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.35, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

Sanskrit text, transliteration and word-by-word meaning:

श्री-नारद उवाच
अथ नन्दह् शिशुं शेषं
दर्शयाम् आस विस्मितह्
दृष्ट्वा प्रेङ्ख-स्थितं प्राह
नत्वा सत्यवती-सुतह्

śrī-nārada uvāca
atha nandah śiśuṃ śeṣaṃ
darśayām āsa vismitah
dṛṣṭvā preṅkha-sthitaṃ prāha
natvā satyavatī-sutah

śrī-nāradah uvāca—Śrī Nārada said; athathen; nandah—Nanda; śiśum—the child; śeṣam—Śeṣa; darśayām āsa—showed; vismitah—astonished; dṛṣṭvāseeing; preṅkha—on the swinging-cradle; sthitam—situated; prāha—said; natvā—bowing; satyavatīof Satyavatī; sutah—the son.

English translation of verse 1.10.35:

Śrī Nārada said: Then Nanda showed them the child Aannta Śeṣa. Gazing at the child in the cradle, Vyāsa, struck with wonder, bowed down, and spoke.
