The Garga-samhita Verse 1.10.34, English translation, including word-by-word: This text represents a Vaishnava scripture which narrates the life Krishna, It was composed in seventeen cantos by Garga Muni: an ancient sage and priest of the Yadu dynasty having. This is verse 1 of Chapter 10 (Description of the Birth of Lord Balarama) of Canto 1 (goloka-khanda).

तद्-दर्शनार्थं प्राप्तो ऽहं
वेदव्यासो महा-मुनिह्
तस्मात् त्वं दर्शयास्माकं
शिशु-रूपं परात् परम्

tad-darśanārthaṃ prāpto 'haṃ
vedavyāso mahā-munih
tasmāt tvaṃ darśayāsmākaṃ
śiśu-rūpaṃ parāt param

tad-darśana-arthamto see Him; prāptah—attained; aham—I; devakyā—by Devakī; asau—he; mahā-munih—a great sage; tasmāt—therefore; tvam—you; darśaya - please show; asmākam—to us; śiśuchild; rūpam—form; parāt param—greater than the greatest.

English translation of verse 1.10.34:

I, Vedavyāsa, have come here to see Him. Therefore, please show Him, the Supreme Person who is greater than the greatest and who now displays the form of an infant, to us.
