अन्तरेवमहमास्थितः शिवे धीमनोऽक्षवपुरर्पितं त्वया ॥ ६४ ॥

Comparative analysis of commentaries and excerpts in English:

[Jīva, Aham and Idam]

Śakti fills the Paśu or Jīva, with intelligence, mind and sense. The Jīva stands between “aham” and “idam”, creation and destruction, the one devouring the other.[1]

Śiva’s as Virāṭ (in creation); as Māyā (in destruction)

In the form of creation as well as destruction, and in the state of obsorber and the obsorbed, Śiva exists as “ahaṃ”—I-ness.[2] During this period Śakti bestows Buddhi, Manas and Indriyas, to this I-ness in the manifested universe (Virāṭ) and in the state of Enjoyer (as Virāṭ). In dissolution Śiva obsorbs his creations into his Māyāśarīra (as Īśvara). Thus Śakti acts as mother in both the stages, likewise in the empirical aspect.
