The Sanskrit edition of the Apastamba Grihya-sutra with the commentaries of Haradatta (called the Anakula-vritti) and Sudarshana (called the Grihyatatparyadarshana-vyakhya). The Apastamba Grihyasutra is a short treatise on Vedic rituals which, together with the Hiranyakeshin-grihya-sutra, belongs to the Taittiriya School of the Black Yajur-Veda. athājyasaṃskāra- tatra vilāpanamājyasya yasminkasmiṃścidagnau bhavati uttaratrājyagrahaṇāt /
nirvāpaḥ ānayanam /

punarājyagrahaṇamanāghāre'pi karmaṇi saṃskāraḥ ājyasya yathā syāt /
ājyaṃ sarvatra nirupya juhotīti /
nirūhaṇaṃ pṛthakkaraṇam /
udagvacanaṃ putryeṣvapi yathā syāt /
etonodvāsanaṃ vyākhyātam /
avadyotanaṃ jvalatā tṛṇenāvadīpanam /
tatra dve darbhāgre pavitravatsaṃskṛtyājye pratyasyati prakṣipati /
dve grahaṇamekaṃ ve tyasyāgnihotradṛṣṭasya vikalpasya pratiṣedhārtham /
tenāgnihotrike'pi tantre dve eva darbhāgre bhavataḥ /
tatastadājyaṃ triḥ pradakṣiṇaṃ paryagni karoti ājyasya sarvato'gniṃ trirāvartayati tṛṇenolmukena /
tatra pitryeṣvapi pradakṣiṇaṃ paryagnikaraṇamicchanti /
udvāsanaṃ nirharaṇam /
pratyūhana māgnimā saṃsajainam /
punarāhāraṃ punarāhṛtyāhṛtya /
trīṇyetāni utpavanāni pratyagapavargāṇi /
anupraharaṇamagnaiḥ prakaraṇāt

Sudarśana’s Gṛhyatātparyadarśana-vyākhyā (sūtra 1.22)

yadyapi'sarpirājyaṃ pratīyāt'(āpa.pa.2-25) iti paribhāṣāsiddhaṃ vilāpanaṃ, tathāpi vilīnamapyājyaṃ homārthe'gnau karmārtha punarvilāpayet /
tato'gneḥ paścāt sthāpitāyāṃ pavitrāntarhitāyāmājyasthālyāṃ tadājyamānayet /
'ājyaṃ vilāpya'iti prakṛte'pi punarājyagrahaṇamājyasyaiva nirvāpādayaḥ na punaḥ'dadhna evāñjalinā juhoti"(āpa.gṛ.22-10) ityatra(2) paśuprabhavasya homadravyatve'pi yadīyatadīyanyāyāddadhno bhaveyurityevamartham //


kecit-- atantrake'pi karmaṇyājyaṃ nirvāpādibhissaṃskāryamityevamarthamiti //


adrimityagnereva paścāt na brāhmaṇasyeti /
kecit-anyasminnagnau vilapanaṃ, homārthāgnereva paścānnirvāpa ityevamarthamiti //


athāṅrārānudīco nirūhya nirrvatya, teṣvaṅgāreṣu ājyadhiśritya, jvalatā tṛṇenāvadyutya adhogāminyā dīptyā dyotayitvā, dve darbhāgre aniyatāyāme tṛṇādyantardhāya chitvādbhissaṃspṛśya te yugapadājye prakṣipet'dve'ityadhikaśabdāt, ācārācca /
atholmukamādāyājye pradakṣiṇaṃ triḥ paryagni kṛtvā samantato'gnimāvartya tadudagavatārayet /
atra nirūhaṇodvāsanayorudagapavargasya'tathāpavargaḥ'(āpa.gṛ.1-6) iti siddhasya punarvidhānametayornityamudagevāpavargaḥ na tu daive vikalpenāpi prāgapavargaḥ, nāpi pitrye dakṣiṇato'pavarga iti niyamārtham /
tathaiva pitryeṣvetayormadhyasthaṃ paryagnikaraṇamapi sandaṃśanyāyāddaivavatpradakṣiṇameva /
itthameva śiṣṭācāraḥ /
tato'ṅgārān pūrva nirūḍhān pratyūhya punarāyatanasthāgninā saṃyojya /
atrājyasaṃskārakāṇāṃ aṅgārāṇāṃ prayūhanavidhānāt'apṛvṛtte karmaṇi'(āpa.pari.4-21) iti na laukikatvam /
avadeyotanaparyagnikaraṇāgnayostu yadā āyatanasthādupādānaṃ tadā tayoragnayerapavṛttakarmatvena laukikatvāt ttyāgaḥ /
yadā tu nirūḍhāt tadā tadā tasminneva kṣepaḥ /
atha pūrvavadudagagrābhyāṃ pavitrābhyāṃ punarāhāraṃ trirutpūya punarāhṛtyāhṛtya trirutpūya /
atra purastādārabhya paścānnītvā purastāt parisamāptiḥ /
kecit- āṅo balādviparītamāhuḥ //


tataste pavitre anuprahṛtya īcārānukūlaṃ prahṛtya, yadi granthissyāt tadā visrasyādbhisasaṃspṛśya prāgagre agnau praharedityarthaḥ //22//


itiśrīsudarśanācāryakṛte gṛhyatātparyadarśane prathamaḥ khaṇḍaḥ

ityāpastambīye gṛhyapraśne prathamaḥ khaṇḍaḥ //
