This is the Sanskrit Mahavastu: a lengthy work on Buddhist teachings and narratives belonging to the school of early Buddhism (Mahasanghika). This edition only includes those metrical verses occuring in the various stories and Jatakas, as well as the corresponding English translation by J. J. Jones.

Verse 19.131

प्रासादवरम् आरुह्य सबन्धुपक्षो सज्जना ।
सराष्ट्रो शरणं गच्छामि तस्य नो शरणं भव ॥ १३१ ॥

prāsādavaram āruhya sabandhupakṣo sajjanā |
sarāṣṭro śaraṇaṃ gacchāmi tasya no śaraṇaṃ bhava || 131 ||

“Behold me here come to my palace with my folk. I and my realm turn to thee, O true man, for refuge. Be therefore a refuge to us all.” (131)
