The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

केनेदं निर्मितं दग्धमानीतं रचितं चितम् ।
उत्पादितं प्रकटितं किमाचारं किमात्मकम् ॥ ११ ॥

kenedaṃ nirmitaṃ dagdhamānītaṃ racitaṃ citam |
utpāditaṃ prakaṭitaṃ kimācāraṃ kimātmakam || 11 ||

What is it that creates, produces and gives the formless dream its fascinating form, and then dissolves it to nothing at last; you find it produced and presented to your view, but cannot say how it acts and of what stuff it is composed.
