The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आयुषः खण्डखण्डाश्च निपतन्तः पुनःपुनः ।
न कश्चिद्वेत्ति कालेन क्षतानि दिवसान्यहो ॥ ५१ ॥

āyuṣaḥ khaṇḍakhaṇḍāśca nipatantaḥ punaḥpunaḥ |
na kaścidvetti kālena kṣatāni divasānyaho || 51 ||

The particles of our lives, are wasting and falling off every moment; and yet it is a wonder that, nobody is aware of the loss of the days of his life, as long as he has but a little while to live.
