The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

धराचटचटास्फोटस्फुटदङ्गारपत्तना ।
गर्जितोर्जितसंपातपतल्लोकान्तराकुला ॥ ३६ ॥

dharācaṭacaṭāsphoṭasphuṭadaṅgārapattanā |
garjitorjitasaṃpātapatallokāntarākulā || 36 ||

The earth was bursting and splitting sound, by the blazing furnaces of fire on all sides; and the hearts of all living beings, were rent by the loud rattling of thunderbolts from heaven.
