The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.55.16

अत्यन्ताभावसंवित्त्या सर्वदृश्यस्य वेदनम् ।
उदेत्यपास्तसंवेद्यं सति वाऽसति सर्गके ॥ १६ ॥

atyantābhāvasaṃvittyā sarvadṛśyasya vedanam |
udetyapāstasaṃvedyaṃ sati vā'sati sargake || 16 ||

It is upon the utter absence of our consciousness, that there ensues a total disappearance of our knowledge of the phenomenals also; and then our intellect rises without a vestige of the intelligibles in it, as also without its intelligence of the existence of the world.
