The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.43.41

एकाभावे द्वयोः शान्तिः पवनस्पन्दयोरिव ।
नूनमेकोपशान्त्यैव निःसारे परमार्थतः ॥ ४१ ॥

ekābhāve dvayoḥ śāntiḥ pavanaspandayoriva |
nūnamekopaśāntyaiva niḥsāre paramārthataḥ || 41 ||

In this manner, the absence of one thing causes the extinction of both, as in the case of the air and its fluctuation; either of which being wanting, there is neither the wind nor its ventilation.
