The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वसनाशनशय्यादीन्सर्वान्संत्यज्य धीरधीः ।
यस्तिष्ठत्यात्मनैवैकः स कथं किल शोभते ॥ ६ ॥

vasanāśanaśayyādīnsarvānsaṃtyajya dhīradhīḥ |
yastiṣṭhatyātmanaivaikaḥ sa kathaṃ kila śobhate || 6 ||

He that abandons his food and raiment, his bedstead and sleep, and all things besides; and remains devoutly reclined in one soul only, cannot possibly preserve the calmness of his person.
